"The goal of this session is to make you see violence from the eyes and the perspective of young people. Specifically of children being victims of violence. Throughout the years there has been an increase in cases of these forms of violence which are domestic, emotional, verbal, sexual, bullying, cyber-bullying and neglect.
Violence seems to be a big part of children's lives".
Ως μέλος του YouSmile στο Χαμόγελο του Παιδιού και του Eurochild's Childrens' Council η Άννα μας εκπροσώπησε χθες στην 2η ημέρα του 14th EU Forum on the Rights of the Child. Συγκεκριμένα, συμμετείχε στην διάλεξη: 'Ways forward: Child participation to prevent violence', όπου τοποθετήθηκε ενάντια σε κάθε μορφής παραβίαση των δικαιωμάτων των παιδιών με βάση τις γνώσεις της πάνω στο θέμα, αλλά και την εμπειρία της ως μίας από τους πρώτους ανήλικους εκπαιδευόμενους της Εθνικής Γραμμής SOS 1056 του "Χαμόγελου του Παιδιού".
“Being a part of this session is important for many reasons but I think that the most important one is that it was run by children who are trying to help other children in any way possible. So if you want to help us, then I want you to think about this: if children have the ability to be a part of a National Helpline, pick up the phone and actually help the child at the other end of the line, recognize a violent behavior and face it, then imagine what power adults have, to make such a big problem smaller”
